Edward R. Hatfield
Founder & CEO
Ted Hatfield co-founded Solebury Capital in 2005 and has jointly led the firm to become the country’s most influential equity capital markets advisory boutique. Ted has nearly 30 years of capital markets experience on Wall Street, including a background in fixed income trading, equity underwriting and ECM advisory. Ted has been responsible for the pricing of more than 750 IPOs, marketed follow-ons and block trades in every sector of the economy.
Prior to forming Solebury, Ted spent 20 years at Credit Suisse, serving as Head of U.S. Equity Syndicate Department – Americas. For approximately 10 years, Ted was responsible for overseeing the marketing, pricing, allocation and trading of all Credit Suisse’s equity and equity-linked transactions listed in North America as well as all US-listed transactions marketed abroad. Ted was a member of the organization’s U.S. Equity Management Committee, Global ECM Management Committee, Equity Valuation Committee, Global Research Reform Project Board, IPO Practices Committee and Co-Chairman of the IPO Allocation Review Committee.
Ted received a B.S. in Finance and Marketing from Lehigh University and lives in Summit, NJ with his wife and four children.

Alan Sheriff, a 35-year veteran of the equity capital markets, co-founded Solebury Capital in 2005 and formerly served as Co-CEO. Under his guidance and leadership, the firm has become the premier independent equity capital advisory firm, known for bringing deep product expertise, unparalleled market knowledge and unbiased advice to its clients. Alan has personally worked on hundreds of IPOs, follow-ons, block trades and provided general capital markets counsel to financial sponsors such as Bain Capital, Ares Management, Apollo, American Securities, TH Lee, Freeman Spogli, TSG Consumer and many others. He has also worked directly with companies such as Nielson, The Carlyle Group, Dunkin Brands, Canada Goose, BRP (Bombardier Recreational Products), Aramark, Black Knight Financial, Patheon, Planet Fitness, and Party City, among others.
Prior to founding Solebury Capital, Alan held several senior-level positions at Credit Suisse First Boston, including serving as Co-Head of Equity Capital Markets for the Americas. He also chaired Credit Suisse’s Equity Valuation Committee and sat on the firm’s Investment Banking Committee. Alan also led CSFB’s Equity-Linked Capital Markets desk as well as the firm’s ECM Restricted Stock effort. He began his career at Salomon Brothers.
Alan graduated from the University of Rochester with a B.A. in Political Science, Magna Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa. He also received a MPA from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs. He is a member of The Council on Foreign Relations and the NationSwell Council.
In January 2011 Alan served as a delegate for the U.S. State Department’s Global Entrepreneurship Program in Egypt, in an effort to promote and spur entrepreneurship around the world. He is also the founder of Teach2Serve, a nonprofit designed to educate and train select high school students for careers in public policy and nonprofit work. Additionally, he is a member of the board of the Travis Manion Foundation, which empowers veterans and families of fallen heroes to develop character in future generations. Alan is also a past Trustee at Delaware Valley University and The Solebury School.
Alan and his wife live in Bucks County, Pennsylvania with their two dogs. They are the proud parents of four sons.
Chairman and COO
Victor has 40 years of financial industry experience. He oversees all administrative and legal matters of Solebury Capital and Solebury Trout, and provides guidance and judgment on the daily business operations of each group.
Victor began his Wall Street career at Salomon Brothers where he was Global Head of Equity Capital Markets. He also served as a member of the four-person Equity Operating Committee, responsible for running Salomon’s global equity business. After Salomon brothers, Victor joined UBS as Co-Head of Investment Banking and Head of North America Capital Markets. He was a member of the Regional Management Committee with responsibility for all U.S. capital markets products. Following UBS, Victor served as Global Head of Equity Capital Markets at Bear Stearns where he was a member of the firm’s Commitment Committee and President’s Council.
Previously, Victor was a member of the Board of Directors at Verity, Inc., chairing both the Audit and Governance committees. Victor was also a member of the Board of Directors at Peregrine Systems, serving as Chairman of the Governance Committee, a member of the Audit Committee and a member of the Special Committee formed to handle the sale of Peregrine. He is a former director of Printcafe Software, Inc., where he also sat on its Audit and Compensation committees as well as the Special Committee of Independent Directors at the time of the company sale. Victor was a director at Dwango Wireless and served as non-executive Chairman.
Victor graduated from Penn State University with a B.S. in Finance and currently lives in Pound Ridge, NY.
David joined Solebury Capital in 2007 after a 16 year career at Goldman Sachs in the Equity Capital Markets Group. Over the course of his career, he has led more than 500 equity IPOs, follow-ons, block trades, and private placements – in the U.S. market as well as globally, particularly in Latin America.
At Goldman Sachs, David was a deal captain in multiple sectors, a lead financial services banker, and a leader in the structuring and execution of landmark transactions such as the MetLife, Prudential, CIT, Intercontinental Exchange, Principal, Stancorp and Anthem IPOs. He also led the U.S. execution of a number of non-financial IPOs including Monsanto, Canadian National Railway and China Telecom and was responsible for the block trades business within equity capital markets.
Earlier in his career, David was a consultant at Los Alamos National Laboratory and a staff member for New Jersey Governors Tom Kean and Jon Corzine. David graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Dickinson College with a B.A. in Economics and received a M.A. in International Economics from The Johns Hopkins University. He also received a certificate in European Studies from The Johns Hopkins Bologna (Italy) Center. He is a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) in the NJ foster care system and lives with his wife, Maria, and two children in Titusville, NJ.
Co-Chief Executive Officer
Jeff brings nearly 20 years of experience in investor relations and equity capital markets to his role as Co-CEO of Solebury Trout. He leads a team that has delivered strategic investor relations advice and counsel to hundreds of companies across numerous sectors, market caps, and stages in the corporate lifecycle.

- Executing retained investor relations services for companies in the clean tech, alternative energy, industrial and healthcare industries

Previously, Jeff was a member of Citi’s Equity Capital Markets team, originating and executing equity capital raises in the industrial and financial sectors. Prior to Citi, Jeff co-founded Ilios Partners LLC, an investor relations and capital markets consulting firm where he led the investment banking services division. He began his career at The Carson Group, in the investor relations consulting field.
Jeff earned his MBA from Columbia Business School and his B.A. in Economics from Tufts University. Jeff is a member of the National Investor Relations Institute (NIRI) and also holds Series 7, 79 and 63 securities licenses.
He lives in Westchester County, NY with his wife and two children.
Chief Administration Officer
Gina joined Solebury Capital in 2005 and oversees all areas of administration for the firm and its affiliates. Her multifunctional responsibilities include business administration, financial operations, business risk and regulatory compliance.
Prior to joining the firm, Gina was with Acorda Therapeutics, a biotechnology company engaged in the development of drugs that restore neurological function for people with spinal cord injury and other central nervous system disorders. She was responsible for overseeing the direct activities of clinical research organizations (CROs) and vendors for data management, safety reporting, central labs, drug distribution, and statistical analysis of Phase II and Phase III clinical trials. She was also involved in the preparation of Annual Study Reports, Final Study Reports, and NDA submission to the Food and Drug Administration.
Gina earned her B.A. in Pharmacy and Pharm.D. from Rutgers University’s College of Pharmacy.

Jonathan Fassberg recognized early in his career that small-cap biotechnology companies were underserved in an investor relations capacity. To fill this void, Jonathan founded The Trout Group in 1996 and grew it to become the leading investor relations firm in the life sciences industry. Trout has served over 750 public and private companies both domestically and internationally. In 2017, Trout was acquired by Solebury Communications and the combined firm became known as Solebury Trout.
Highlights of Jonathan’s career include guiding Pharmasset, Pharmacyclics and GW Pharma from inception to IPOs to product launches and ultimate acquisitions. Today Jonathan focuses on client service and outreach to investors in order to build stable shareholder bases for his clients.
Prior to Trout’s founding, Jonathan was a sell-side analyst at a healthcare-focused investment bank. Before his career on Wall Street, Jonathan spent four years at DuPont Pharma in various sales and marketing positions.
Jonathan holds a B.S. in Biology and Chemistry from The University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill and an MBA in finance from New York University’s Stern School of Business. He also holds Series 7, 24, 79 and 63 securities licenses.
Jonathan has been an active member of Young Presidents Organization since joining the Manhattan Chapter in 2007 and is currently serving as Chapter Chair. He also sits on the Board of Directors for the Carolina Center for Jewish Studies at UNC. Jonathan played waterpolo at UNC and for the NYAC after college.
Jonathan lives in New York City and is a doting father to his son and two daughters.

Lisa joined Solebury Trout as Co-CEO in September 2017 to lead the corporate communications practice. Lisa brings more than 25 years of experience to the role, having advised CEOs and senior executives at some of the world’s largest and most high-profile companies, as well as innovative start-ups and leading non-profits. Since joining Solebury, select assignments have included:
- IPO communications strategy for clients as varied as a human capital management technology company; large truck carrier; and innovative biotech firm
- Presentation and media training courses to prepare senior management teams for analyst days, roadshows, media interviews and other high-profile external speaking opportunities
- Ongoing communications counsel for retained clients seeking to generate greater external awareness with key stakeholder audiences
Previously, Lisa served as Managing Director, New York for Glover Park Group, a leading public affairs consultancy, where she provided corporate communications counsel across the firm’s client base to companies such as J.P. Morgan Chase and Coca Cola North America. Prior to that, as a Partner at Robinson Lerer Montgomery (now Finsbury), a global corporate and financial communications firm, Lisa led a 20-person team of senior professionals on high-profile, proactive communications programs to support or redefine a company’s image, often for clients undergoing intense media, public and regulatory scrutiny. Large, multi-year engagements included Toyota North America, Citi, UnitedHealth Group and Discover Financial Services.
Lisa has a B.A. in Government from Beloit College. She lives in Brooklyn Heights, NY with her husband and twins, a son and daughter.
Bob focuses on Sino-U.S. cross-border banking, strategic consulting services and investor relations. He joined the firm in 2016.
Recent activities include:
- Arranged and accompanied several trips to China with clients to meet with Chinese strategic and financial investors;
- Engaged clients on licensing assignment with two completed contracts (vTv’s PDE4 to Newsoara; vTv’s Oral GLP-1 agonist to Huadong Medicine)
Prior to joining the firm, Bob was Managing Director, Senior Biotech Analyst at WallachBeth Capital. Before that, he was the CFO of Aoxing Pharmaceuticals, a NYSE listed Chinese specialty pharmaceutical company. He has also served as Principal in the crossover life science private equity firm Merlin Nexus and was Senior Equity Analyst at asset management firms Bennett Lawrence and Merlin Biomed Group.
Bob received his Ph.D. and MBA degrees from Penn State University and did postdoctoral training at the University of Pennsylvania. He has published eight articles in peer-reviewed scientific journals and also won the prestigious Ray Wu scholarship for outstanding Chinese student to study abroad. Bob holds Series 7, 63, 79, 86, and 87 securities licenses.
Sloan joined Solebury Communications as a Director in February of 2016, after more than 12 years of experience in both buy-side and sell-side research and investment banking. Recent client assignments include:
- Retained investor relations consulting work for specialty finance companies including LendingClub and Elevate Credit
- Investor Day advisory work for TIER REIT, Alexander & Baldwin and Donnelley Financial Solutions
- Perception Study projects in the REIT, lodging and business services sectors
- Pre-IPO investor relations consulting in the real estate, specialty finance and business services sectors
Sloan recently worked as an analyst at Balyasny Asset Management, a multi-strategy hedge fund with over $12 billion in assets under management. He was responsible for equity recommendations across the Financials sector in the US, Canada and Latin America. Areas of coverage included real estate, specialty finance, banks, asset managers, credit cards, financial services and financial technology.
Previously Sloan was a Vice President at Goldman Sachs in sell-side equity research. He covered both the REIT and specialty finance sectors for more than seven years. In that time, he authored industry and company specific research reports, created proprietary financial and valuation models and marketed his recommendations to both long-only and long-short investors.
In REITs, Sloan has covered every major property type, as well as mortgage REITs and real estate brokers. In 2011, Sloan was ranked the #2 Real Estate analyst in the Wall Street Journal’s “Best on the Street.”
Sloan began his career as an investment banking analyst at Sandler O’Neill & Partners focusing on regional banks.
Sloan earned a B.S. in both Finance and Marketing from Lehigh University.
Managing Director, ESG
Amanda currently leads Solebury Trout’s Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) practice, which guides companies on ESG strategies that create long-term value and drive stakeholder engagement, encompassing both investor relations and corporate communications initiatives. Leveraging her practical investor relations, ESG integration and corporate communications experience, she is a sought-after expert speaker on the topic of best practices in investor relations and ESG integration from the corporate perspective.
Amanda works closely with management teams and boards to:
- Create, improve and communicate strong ESG practices that can reduce risk and create opportunities
- Identify ESG disclosure gaps and missed opportunities
- Develop ESG strategies in anticipation of an initial public offering
- Benchmark on the ESG performance of peers
- Target new investors to grow and diversity the shareholder base
- Share her strong buy-side relationships with ESG-oriented investors
- In conjunction with Solebury Trout’s Corporate Communications Team, communicate the development or improvement of the company’s ESG profile to various stakeholder groups
- Provide support on the company’s ongoing ESG initiatives
Prior to joining Solebury Trout, Amanda most recently served as Assistant Vice President, Investor Relations & ESG Reporting at Hannon Armstrong (NYSE: HASI), a leading investor in climate change solutions. She joined Hannon Armstrong in 2012, prior to its initial public offering, and was responsible for the development and execution of the company's investor relations and corporate communications strategies as well as creating and implementing ESG-related strategies, policies and communications. During her seven-year tenure at Hannon Armstrong, Amanda participated in raising over $1 billion in the public capital markets. Notably, she built an award-winning investor relations program, garnering the 2019 Best Overall Investor Relations (Small Cap) Award and was a finalist for Best ESG Reporting at the IR Magazine 2019 U.S. Awards. She was also a finalist for the 2018 Rising Star of Investor Relations award.
Amanda holds a bachelor of business administration, cum laude, from Loyola University Maryland and a master of science in investor relations from Fordham University. She has served as a member of the ESG working groups for both the American Council on Renewable Energy (ACORE) and the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE).
Amanda lives in Annapolis, MD and currently serves on the volunteer development and fundraising committee for Annapolis Summer Garden Theatre, a non-profit organization, where she most recently led the fundraising efforts for its Power Up! Campaign to upgrade the building’s power supply and improve energy efficiency and equipment reliability.
Kevin leads Solebury Trout’s Industrials practice. In his role, Kevin has developed impactful messaging and investor communications strategies for more than 200 earnings calls, and designed and executed IR plans for more than 20 companies entering the capital markets through an IPO. He is known for providing sound guidance to senior management teams dealing with the inevitable challenges and complexities that public companies face when interacting with the investment community.

- Fairmount Santrol’s merger with Unimin Corporation to create Covia Holdings Corporation.

Prior to joining the firm in 2012, Kevin spent 13 years in equity research and private equity. He began his career in the top-ranked equity research department at Salomon Smith Barney (Citi), before moving to Merrill Lynch, and then Bank of America. As a senior publishing research analyst, Kevin earned both internal and external recognition from institutional investors during a period of significant disruption and valuation contraction within his coverage universe. He was known for proprietary published research, a unique self-sourced network of industry contacts and a contrarian investment thesis.
Kevin graduated with a B.S. in Finance from the University of Delaware’s Lerner College of Business and Economics. He was a member of the university’s actively managed investment club and played on the Division I varsity soccer team.
John has a depth of experience in investor relations, strategic advisory, management consulting and finance. He has worked with numerous life science and sustainability companies to develop and implement investor relations strategies, increase awareness within the investment community, and support capital raising initiatives. John advises senior management on overall corporate strategy as well as corporate positioning/communications, messaging, roadshow planning and relationship building. He joined Solebury Trout in 2010 as an intern.
John’s experience includes:
- Advising multiple companies throughout the IPO process – including syndicate selection, investor targeting, presentation review and management training
- Assisting in numerous transactions for both private and public companies with over $150M successfully raised
- Coordinating multiple domestic and international roadshows with high quality institutional investors
- Expanding the firm’s footprint within the sustainability space working with companies in the ag-biotech and industrial biotech subsectors
Prior to joining the firm, John worked at the Avalon Park and Preserve where he was responsible for the restoration, upkeep and conservation of 140 acres of protected land.
John earned a B.S. in both Applied Economics and Management and Natural Resources from Cornell University. Currently, John is an active board member of the Cornell University College of Agriculture and Life Sciences Alumni Association (CALSAA). He also holds Series 7, 63 and 79 securities licenses.
In his spare time, John enjoys the great outdoors, lacrosse, working out, snowboarding, and playing guitar.
Tommy’s knowledge of the European markets and his deep relationships with the European investment community has helped many of Solebury Trout’s clients expand their reach into Europe. Conversely, he also assists clients based outside the United States in navigating the U.S. biotech markets and developing their U.S. investor marketing strategies.

Tommy co-created Solebury Trout’s annual Hamptons CEO Roundtable and oversees Solebury Trout’s annual Management Access event at the J.P. Morgan Healthcare Conference in San Francisco.

Brian Korb is a Managing Director based in New York. Since joining the firm in 2000, Brian has worked with hundreds of companies in the life sciences space, crafting and executing investor relations and communication plans. He is a trusted advisor who has helped raise over $500M for public and private companies in the U.S. and Europe through private placements, registered directs, convertible debt, royalty transactions, and secondary offerings.
Brian leads efforts around Solebury Trout’s Annual Management Access event during the annual J.P. Morgan Healthcare Conference. He launched the firm’s popular U.S. and EU Wall Street Unplugged Conference series, EU Investor Tour, Pharma BD roundtable as well as the annual Solebury Trout Hamptons CEO Roundtable.

- Advised a biotech company around their Phase 3 data announcement, conference call and subsequent key opinion leader event at a medical meeting
- Managed and advised on four 4 private placements for Genfit, a Euronext listed company in France with a Phase 3 trial ongoing in NASH
- Worked with Vivus and provided investor relations and strategic guidance around FDA Advisory Committee meetings, commercial launch and an activist investor crisis situation
Brian graduated magna cum laude from Tufts University with a B.A. in psychology. He also holds Series 7, 24, 63 and 79 securities licenses. Brian has also completed more than 10 marathons and is an IRONMAN finisher. He is an active fundraiser for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, the Histiocytosis Association and the Achilles Foundation. He is a member of the National Eagle Scout Association. He resides in New York City with his wife and two young children.
Michael Levitan is a Managing Director based in New York. Since joining the firm in 2007, Michael has worked on a wide variety of investor relations, financing and M&A advisory engagements. Michael has over 20 years of experience in healthcare investor relations, investment banking and corporate development.

Prior to joining The Trout Group, Michael worked for over 10 years as a healthcare investment banker, including at Bear Stearns and Lehman Brothers. Prior to joining Lehman Brothers, Michael worked for Eli Lilly & Company in the business development group. Michael holds an MBA degree in finance and marketing from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business, and a bachelor of engineering degree in electrical and computer engineering from McGill University. He also holds Series 7, 79 and 63 securities licenses. Michael enjoys skiing, golf, and spending time with his wife and children.
Jamie has over 20 years of capital markets and strategic communications experience which provides a unique perspective and skillset as he advises executive management teams on a wide range of topics including corporate positioning and messaging, investor and employee communications, executive management transitions, M&A, and public equity issuance. In his role, Jamie partners with executive management teams to develop strategic communications programs designed to deliver impactful corporate messaging combined with appropriate financial transparency to achieve a company’s fair value in the market.
Today, Jamie leads Solebury Trout’s Financial Services practice where he provides strategic counsel to both public and private company management teams covering all aspects of investor relations. Jamie has managed the strategic investor relations’ programs for leading companies in the insurance, banking, fin tech, real estate, specialty finance and asset management sectors. Jamie also has experience providing strategic advice to companies in the building products, business services, retail, TMT, and transportation sectors.
Prior to joining Solebury in 2011, Jamie was an institutional equity salesperson at Banc of America Securities in their middle markets group. Following the acquisition of Merrill Lynch in January 2009, Jamie was selected to join a Real Estate focused sales team expanding his coverage to include dedicated REIT investors such as Cohen & Steers and APG Asset. Jamie started his Wall Street career on Credit Suisse First Boston‘s Institutional Equity Sales desk where he spent nine years developing relationships with many of the firm’s most important clients such as Blackrock, Deutsche Asset Management, PIMCO Equity, Fred Alger, and Dreyfus.
Prior to his career on Wall Street, Jamie was an account marketing representative for the Xerox Corporation where he completed their extensive sales training programs and earned distinction, having received President and Par Club awards.
Jamie received his B.A. in History from Bucknell University and an MBA in Finance from Cornell University’s S.C. Johnson Graduate School of Management. He also holds Series 7 and 63 securities licenses and is a member of the National Investor Relations Institute (NIRI).
James is a Managing Director at Solebury Trout. Over the course of a two-decade career, he has provided communications counsel to clients on IPOs, executive changes, crisis situations, mergers and acquisitions, activist defense and corporate philanthropic programs as well as ongoing corporate positioning, traditional media and social media relations programs.

Prior to joining Solebury Trout, James served as Head of Corporate and Internal Communications at Affinion Group, a global loyalty and customer engagement company; as Vice President of Public Relations at Cengage Learning, the second largest education company in the world where he was responsible for all external, internal and investor relations and as Senior Vice President and Co-Media Director of Corporate Communications at ICR, a strategic communications firm.
James began his career in television news working on the CBS News National Desk and as a Producer for ABC’s World News Tonight with Peter Jennings before making the transition to public relations.
James earned a B.S. in Political Science from Gettysburg College, he resides in Fairfield, CT with his wife and daughter and is President of the Stratfield Village Association.
Brad Miles is a Managing Director based in New York and leads the firm’s life sciences communications practice. He brings over 20 years of experience leading groundbreaking communications strategies for biopharma companies developing new, advanced approaches to treating diseases.

Prior to founding BMC, Brad spent seven years at the specialized healthcare communications agency Ted Klein & Company (TK&C) in New York City, working with clients including Pfizer, GlaxoSmithKline, Marion Merrell Dow (Sanofi-Aventis), Bristol-Myers Squibb and Cephalon.
Brad received a B.A. in Mass Communications from Grand Valley State University. He lives in the Tribeca neighborhood of New York City with his wife and son.
Helen leads investor relations work on initial public offerings, strategic positioning, and earnings presentations and materials for clients in the healthcare and consumer industries. She also advises her clients on how to effectively communicate significant changes in their industry and their companies to investors. Helen joined the firm in September 2015, after more than 20 years of experience in buy-side and sell-side research. Examples of recent engagements include:

- IPOs of a large outpatient services company and an e-tailer

Previously, Helen was a senior investment analyst at American Century Investments, a firm with more than $140 billion in assets under management. She covered the global health care sector for the firm’s Global Growth and International Growth Strategies. During her 14 years at American Century, she also followed the consumer sector and co-managed the Global Growth strategy for almost three years.
Earlier in her career, Helen worked on the buy-side as a Senior Vice President and Director of Research for Mitchell Hutchins Asset Management. Before that, Helen was a Senior Vice President in the equity research department of PaineWebber. In that role, she authored detailed industry and company research reports, provided financial models and hosted investment conferences and meetings for clients.
Helen began her career covering medical device companies and healthcare services companies at Smith Barney.
Helen earned a B.A. in Communications from Fordham University.
Jen Porcelli is a Managing Director in the New York office. Jen works with a broad spectrum of privately-held and publicly-traded life sciences companies throughout various stages of the funding lifecycle; she provides management teams with strategic advice surrounding a variety of investor relations initiatives and conducts targeted outreach to the institutional investor community to identify potential investors and long-term shareholders. She joined the firm in 2015.

Prior to joining Solebury Trout, Jen worked on the UBS Investment Bank Corporate Access desk within the Institutional Sales & Trading team, where she spent more than 11 years helping companies across a broad range of sectors with their investor targeting efforts. Prior to that, she worked on the UBS Healthcare Investment Banking team, primarily focused on developing internal & external communications. Jen began her career at JPMorgan on the Investment Bank Marketing team. Jen holds a B.S. in Marketing & Communications from Georgetown University. During her time at Georgetown, Jen worked on Capitol Hill for Senator Tim Johnson (SD) and completed three Marine Corps Marathons.

Chad has more than 18 years of experience in advising life science companies on topics including shareholder targeting, investor roadshows, capital markets transactions, messaging, and scenario analysis. His experience includes work in finance, consulting and market analysis, helping clients move from creation to follow-on and convertible offerings to M&A/IPO. Chad is involved in capital transactions with corporate clients and has counseled clients on domestic and cross-border transactions, and binary data events.

Prior to joining Solebury Trout in 2005, Chad was the head of the Biotechnology Capital Markets Intelligence Group at Thomson Financial, assisting life sciences companies in their understanding of Wall Street as it pertains to financing transactions, sales and trading dynamics, and perception around clinical and regulatory events.
Chad holds a B.A. in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from Franklin & Marshall College as well as a minor in Film and Media studies. Chad is a member of the Board of Trustees for the Histiocytosis Association and founder of “All Jacked Up,” an annual event that has raised more than $1M for research and awareness of histiocytic disorders. When not at work, Chad enjoys fishing, gardening, running, cycling, coaching lacrosse and football, playing guitar and hanging out with his family of five.
Lee is a Managing Director at Solebury Trout. With a broad array of experience in investor relations, management consulting and finance, Lee has worked with numerous health sciences companies to develop and implement their investor positioning strategies, assist them with capital-raising strategies and advise senior management on general company strategy. He joined the firm in 1999.

Prior to joining Solebury Trout, Ed spent more than 14 years in both sell-side equity research and investment banking. His investment banking experience includes equity capital markets and equity private placements in the Corporate Finance team at Societe Generale, and as a Vice President on the Energy & Power Investment Banking team at Wells Fargo. Ed’s equity research experience spans Bank of America, Wells Fargo and SunTrust Robinson Humphrey, and includes the coverage of companies across the electric utilities, energy technology and telecommunications industries.
Ed earned a B.A in Economics and a B.A. in Environmental Studies, both from Tufts University. He also holds Series 7, 63, 79, 86, and 87 securities licenses. He volunteers extensively with Apex for Youth in its middle school and high school mentoring and SAT prep programs, and is a past member of its Associate Board. Ed lives in New Jersey with his wife and two children.
Senior Vice President
Amy Bonanno is a Senior Vice President on the Life Sciences Corporate Communications team. She is instrumental in leading account teams and developing and executing client campaigns and strategies around significant financial and clinical milestones, as well as product launches. A journalist by training, Amy seeks new and creative ways to communicate complex stories. Over the course of her career, she has spearheaded the content creation and production of more than a dozen corporate and disease-awareness websites in addition to scientific illustrations, animations, and explainer videos.
Previously, Amy worked at BMC Communications and in television news production at CBS News. She also has experience in local television news production and headed up a public affairs segment for several years as well as product radio news for local NPR stations. It was her interest in health-related news topics that led her to her career in life sciences communications.
Amy holds a B.A. in Broadcast Journalism from Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications. She currently lives in Charleston, SC with her husband.

Joshua R. Mansbach is an integrated communications strategist, storyteller, and content creator, with more than nineteen years of experience in healthcare communications. He has developed insights-driven, award-winning, brand and corporate programs that have catalyzed conversation, elevated awareness, and increased market share. Joshua has partnered with a broad range of healthcare entities, from global pharmaceutical companies to biotech innovators, research institutions, and advocacy organizations. His focus and passion are in high-science, high profile therapeutic categories, and he has particular experience with cardiovascular disease, oncology, neuroscience, infectious disease, respiratory, dermatology, pain, and biosimilars.
Joshua’s background is in Science Strategy; developing public engagement programs centered on compelling stories to make company and product science memorable. Previously, Joshua led specialty Science Strategy practices for several global PR agencies, developing new capabilities and offerings across the spectrum of scientific communications, including storytelling, content strategies and asset creation, regulatory milestone strategies, and scientific/clinical data differentiation programs. As a strategic thought partner, he collaborates with clients to create impactful stories, engaging content, and actionable communications programs that demonstrate how brand and company science impacts public health and drives business growth.
Gitanjali Jain Ogawa
Senior Vice President
Gita combines her diverse scientific background and knowledge of finance to develop strategic investor relations and communication programs for public and private health sciences companies. She has extensive experience advising senior management on general company strategy at various stages of the corporate lifecycle. This includes messaging and branding, KOL events, crisis management, and assisting with corporate financings. She has also built deep relationships with investors, analysts and bankers on the West Coast. Currently, Gita works on a broad portfolio of companies covering various indications to:
- Advise around major data announcements and subsequent key opinion leader events at medical meetings
- Increase institutional ownership and equity research coverage through conducting non-deal roadshows and attending relevant investment focused conferences and medical meetings
- Maintain and update corporate presentation and messaging to ensure clear and compelling investment thesis as a company evolves
- Educate all relevant stakeholders on clients’ clinical development plans, financial results, business strategies and other key developments while also obtaining feedback on various aspects of the company
Prior to joining the firm in 2004, Gita worked at Medarex, Inc., a monoclonal antibody-focused company, where she helped create a BCL-2 mouse for optimal monoclonal antibody production. Prior to that, she was a Research Associate at StemCells, Inc. where she worked in the development of neural markers as they related to monoclonal antibody and protein fragments. During that time, she also co-authored a publication in the Journal of Neuroscience Research.
Gita holds a B.A. in Economics from Brown University and a M.S. in Biology from New York University. Her research while at NYU focused on the effects of catalase on hematopoietic progenitors. She also holds Series 7, 79 and 63 securities licenses.

Rich provides communications counsel to multinational biopharmaceutical corporations. He leads communications strategy in connection with late-stage clinical data announcements, company unveilings, partnerships and public awareness initiatives. He has also led message development centered on corporate visibility and differentiation among investor and biopharmaceutical industry audiences. Recent engagements include:

Prior to joining Solebury Trout, Rich was an executive at Russo Partners, managing corporate communications, investor relations, media engagement and creative project strategy. He has handled announcement strategy and media relations for clients including Cynapsus leading up to its acquisition by Sunovion, as well as leaders in oncology and immuno-oncology announcing major deals with Novartis and Eli Lilly.
Before Russo Partners, Rich was a consultant at Syneos Health, where he specialized in global pharmaceutical product launch, market access and portfolio valuation. He began his career as a researcher in biochemistry, radiation oncology and developmental genetics and is a published co-author in Science and PNAS.
Rich earned an M.Phil in Biochemistry and Biophysics from Columbia University, a M.S. in Biology from New York University, and an A.B. in Molecular Biology from Princeton University.
He lives in Brooklyn, NY, and is a classical cellist.
Julia works on all aspects of investor relations, and capital-raising challenges and opportunities with a number of biotech and spec pharma companies. With more than 15 years of experience analyzing and investing in European and US healthcare companies on the buy side, she has a background in clinical research, financial modeling, due diligence, valuation and risk management. She joined Solebury Trout in 2018.

Previously, Julia worked as a healthcare portfolio manager for Schonfeld Strategic Advisors, as well as a fundamental healthcare analyst for a number of hedge funds in NYC.
Julia earned her MS in Applied Math and Finance from Moscow University in Russia.
Mike Biega is a Vice President in the Boston office. Since joining the firm, Mike has worked closely with clients to help them achieve their investor relations goals and provide them with access to Boston’s investment community. He has experience in strategic messaging, product launches, and corporate positioning. He can often be found on the road, accompanying clients to roadshows, and conferences, as well as meeting with new biotech companies across the therapeutic space.

Prior to joining the firm in 2016, Mike worked on the equity sales desk at Summer Street Research Partners, a small boutique investment bank that focused exclusively in life sciences. In that role, his core focus was to develop relationships with institutional investors and speak to them about healthcare research with the goal of helping them make investment decisions.
Mike graduated from Harvard University where he played on the Division I hockey team for four years and graduated with a BA in Economics. He holds the Series 7, 63 and 79 securities licenses. In his spare time, Mike enjoys playing hockey and golf, and fishing.
Luke Taylor Brown
Luke is a Vice President in the New York office where he provides investor relations and targeting for healthcare companies. He joined Solebury Trout in May of 2018.
Previously, Luke was an accountant at the Bank of New York and worked in the Global Corporate Solutions Group at both Thomson Reuters and NASDAQ, where he provided investor relations consulting. At NASDAQ, he was tasked with wearing multiple hats in getting the advisory business off of the ground when the initiative launched. He worked with the sales team, relationship managers and senior staff to ensure a cohesive message both internally and externally while simultaneously handling client work. Luke also worked as a liaison between the team and the developers to ensure tools were appropriately constructed.
Luke earned his B.S. in Finance from the University of Central Florida and his MBA from The Rollins College Crummer Graduate School of Business. He lives in Brooklyn with his wife and daughter, and is an avid reader and guitarist.
Annie joined Solebury Trout in 2018 bringing a wide range of experiences in corporate finance, M&A, business development, asset management, and investor relations within high growth industries.

She started her career in finance at Morgan Stanley in Investment Banking working with biotech and gaming companies to support their financing and strategic needs.
Annie has a MBA from INSEAD and a B.S. in Finance from New York University Stern School of Business. In her spare time, she enjoys yoga and spending quality time with family and friends.
Shannon is a Vice President in the Stamford office and joined Solebury Trout in 2018. Shannon has a decade of Investor Relations experience creating and executing best-in-class IR programs for numerous companies across industry sectors. She helps ready private companies for public life, and has assisted more than 60 companies in all aspects for the IPO process.
Prior to joining Solebury Trout, Shannon was a Vice President at ICR, an integrated communications firm, where she handled IR operations for clients ranging in market cap of $500 million to $15 billion in the Financial Services, REIT, Homebuilding, Consumer and Retail sectors. Her work focused on the comprehensive implementation and maintenance of IR programs for clients on a day-to-day basis. Additional expertise and areas of focus include M&A and leadership transition communications, as well as execution of several dozen Investor Days.
Shannon earned an MBA in Finance and Management from The University of Connecticut, a B.A. in Communications and English from Fairfield University and is also a member of NIRI.
In her spare time, Shannon enjoys taking a pure barre class, walking, heading to the beach when the New England weather is just right, and spending time with friends and family.
Ankit is a Vice President in the Stamford office. Since joining the firm in 2014, Ankit has worked on a number of ongoing and project-related investor relations engagements to support and strategically advise senior management teams. He has also advised clients through special situations, including activist investor defense, management turnover, mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, shareholder targeting and messaging scenarios.

Prior to joining Solebury Trout in 2014, Ankit spent several years in the hospitality industry in various investment banking, consulting, strategic and operational roles for both Hirnay Corporation (a family-owned conglomerate with a portfolio primarily focused on Choice Hotel franchises in North America) and Viad (a global operator of hotels, resorts and live events).
Ankit began his career as an investment banking analyst at Versailles Group, where he focused on middle-market M&A in the TMT, manufacturing, distribution and education industries. Ankit earned his B.S. in Corporate Finance and Accounting from Bentley University. He currently resides in Stamford, CT with his wife. He enjoys spending time with his family, playing sports and is a black belt in Taekwondo.
A Vice President with the company since 2009, Victoria is now consulting for Solebury Trout clients on all aspects of Life Sciences investor relations activities.
She assists private and SMid Cap companies with customized IR strategies and plans, including investor and conference targeting, logistics, corporate materials and market due diligence. Victoria provides corporate access to the European investment community with a strong emphasis on perception analysis of companies after non-deal roadshows and industry-related events. Victoria is involved in the day-to-day activities of IR clients and she also advises European companies on fundraising strategies and processes. Victoria also helps with the organization of R&D and Capital Markets days, as well as Solebury Trout events such as educational IR seminars, investor tours and the 1×1 management access event in San Francisco.
Victoria gained experience at several UK-based financial PR and investor relations consultancies. She worked in magazines and newswires in Russia before relocating to London. Victoria graduated with distinction in Journalism from Northern Federal University in Russia and holds a Master of Arts in Public Relations from London College of Communications. Victoria holds the Series 7 securities license. In her spare time she enjoys being with her family, travelling and gardening.
Stephanie is a Senior Associate with experience in media relations, corporate communications, on-site event management, crisis communication, social media strategy, and executive visibility. Prior to joining Solebury Trout, she spent nearly eight years at NBCUniversal, working in publicity for both the entertainment and sports divisions. During her tenure she worked on a variety of properties including the 2016 and 2018 Olympics Games, the debut of Dale Earnhardt Jr. as a television analyst, the 40th Anniversary of Saturday Night Live, and the launch of the Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Stephanie started her career at NBC in the prestigious Page Program.
Stephanie holds a B.A. in Public Relations and Political Science from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University. In her spare time, she enjoys golfing, hiking and skiing.
Alan works with a wide variety of therapeutics clients, supporting them on roadshows and at conferences. He arranges and staffs Boston-based road shows across Solebury Trout’s client base. He has particularly deep experience working with oncology companies and has supported a number of M&A transactions. He joined the firm in 2014.

Previously, Alan worked at Maxim Bank in New York in their Venture Capital division focusing on private biotech companies. Alan also spent nearly 10 years in the Army National Guard, on both active duty and on reserve status. He was honorably discharged as a Staff Sergeant. Alan received his B.A. in Political Science and Government from Rutgers College and has completed graduate courses at Rutgers Business School. He enjoys spending time with friends and relaxing with a book and a good cigar.
Anthony is a Vice President at Solebury Trout. He provides comprehensive investor relations advisory services to senior management at client companies. His work has spanned across numerous industry sectors, including alternative energy, water, chemicals, building products, distribution, homebuilding, financials, oilfield services, automotive parts, business services and shipping. He also advises clients on the risks and opportunities of environmental, social and governance (ESG) investing landscape.
Anthony joined the firm as an Analyst in 2013 and, since then, has assisted over 20 companies through the IPO process, including Hannon Armstrong, Essent Group, SiteOne Landscape Supply, TPI Composites and AquaVenture Holdings, from building the IR infrastructure to providing ongoing support as a public company. He regularly accompanies management teams on non-deal roadshows and conferences to help message their equity story to investors. He has worked on a number of strategic messaging projects including RR Donnelley, Fairmount Santrol and Nuverra Environmental Solutions.
Anthony graduated magna cum laude from Marist College with a B.S. in Finance and Psychology. At Marist, Anthony was a member of the Men’s Division 1 Soccer Team, captaining the team in his senior year. Anthony also worked for the Marist College Campus Ministry, supporting local community projects such as The Giving Tree and The Hunger Walk. He resides in Manhattan.
Patrick joined Solebury Trout in 2014 and delivers strategic advisory and investor relations services to senior management teams across early stage and public companies in the life sciences industry.

Patrick earned his BSc in Biological Science and Genomics from the University of Warwick in the UK. In his spare time he enjoys being outdoors, reading books and traveling.
Xuan Yang is a Vice President in the San Francisco office. Since joining the firm in 2014, Xuan has executed and delivered on a number of comprehensive investor relations services, strategies, and support to senior management teams in the life sciences sector. He has experience in pre-IPO preparation, IPO execution, corporate messaging and positioning, management changes, and corporate rebranding.

In addition, Xuan spent three years in sell-side equity research at Collins Stewart and Canaccord Adams. He holds Series 7, 63, and 79 securities licenses.
Xuan holds a B.A. in Economics from Vanderbilt University.
Michael is a key member of the Solebury Trout team, delivering comprehensive investor relations services and support to senior management across companies in the Financials, REITs, and Specialty Finance sectors. Michael currently works with senior team members on various clients including: Green Bancorp, Third Point Reinsurance, Crawford & Co, Emerald Expositions, Cannae Holdings, Rayonier Advanced Materials, FGL Holdings, U.S. Xpress, Donnelley Financial, Elevate Credit, LendingClub, ADT Security Systems, and CAI International. Michael also has experience working on investor relations infrastructure build-outs for pre IPO companies in multiple sectors including real estate, specialty finance and insurance.
Prior to joining the firm in 2015, Michael completed several prestigious internships. His background includes roles at BMW of North America’s treasury and pension departments as well as the wealth management divisions of both Royal Bank of Canada and Morgan Stanley. Michael also completed internships in law and medicine, working for the Nassau County Supreme Court, Worby Groner Edelman law firm, and the Renal Research Institute of The New York Medical College.
Michael graduated from Muhlenberg College with a B.A. in business. He held several leadership positions on campus including President of the pre-law society and Treasurer of the finance club. Michael co-authored two scientific research articles that were published in The American Journal of Physiology. Michael also earned a certificate in investment banking from New York University.
Jack delivers comprehensive investor relations services and supports senior management across a number of sectors, with a particular expertise in Industrials and Building Products. Jack currently works with senior team members on clients such as Beacon Roofing Supply, Covia Holdings, Evoqua Water Technologies, JELD-WEN, SiteOne Landscape Supply and Universal Forest Products.
Jack graduated from Lehigh University with a B.A. in Economics. He was a member of the varsity lacrosse team. Jack was also a member of the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll and an active volunteer with Community Outreach by Athletes who Care about Helping (C.O.A.C.H.) in the Bethlehem, PA area.
Nicole has been with Solebury Trout since 2012 and is now a consultant based in London.
She has many years’ experience in Financial Services with particular focus on the healthcare sector. Nicole worked for the Goldman Sachs Healthcare Investment Research team, as well as for a hedge fund and a HNWI in the energy sector conducting media research.
Liaising with healthcare analysts and specialist investors, Nicole focuses on all aspects of conference and non-deal roadshow organization in Europe. She is involved with day-to-day client activities and logistics, investor targeting to schedule meetings, outreach, ad-hoc events such as Capital Markets days, investor tours, conferences such as the 1×1 management access event in San Francisco, new business, and maintenance of the website conference calendar.
Nicole studied Business and Finance at Nottingham Trent University. In her spare time, she loves to travel, read and cook.
Will oversees the firm’s Digital and Creative Services offering, which includes websites, infographics, video, animations and illustrations, social media and presentations. With more than 15 years of experience in marketing and communications, Will brings a unique blend of creative skills and business acumen to his work. He joined the firm in 2018. Recent assignments include: the production of creative assets for Quench Water’s employee hydration campaign; compiling and editing videos for Solebury Trout’s media and presentation training offerings; and streamlining internal and external presentations for Solebury Trout and its many clients.
Previously, Will was Associate Director at The Investment Integration Project (a financial research firm) and National Field Manager at the Association for Enterprise Opportunity (an organization that supports microfinance in the United States).
Will has a background in graphic design, presentation development, website design, film production, strategic marketing and communications, and financial research. He earned his B.A. in Environmental Sciences and Policy from Duke University and his MBA from George Washington University. He also has a degree in digital media.
Maria is a Senior Associate at Solebury Trout, where she provides both investor relations and corporate communications advisory to senior management teams across numerous sectors, including Alternative Energy & Clean Tech, Healthcare, Consumer Retail and E-Commerce. She also advises clients on the risks and opportunities of environmental, social and governance (ESG) investing landscape.
Maria joined the firm in 2015 and, since then, has worked on a number of pre-IPO IR infrastructure build-outs in addition to assisting in the day-to-day investor relations and communications responsibilities for a number of clients, including TPI Composites, TeamHealth, AquaVenture Holdings, Hannon Armstrong, Bright Horizons and others. She regularly accompanies management teams on non-deal roadshows and conferences to help message their equity story to investors.
Maria graduated from Cornell University with a B.S. in Communication. While there, she was a three-time varsity letter winner on Cornell’s Division 1 Women’s Rowing Team and helped lead the team to compete at two NCAA championships.
Kyle is a key member of the Solebury Trout team, delivering comprehensive investor relations services and support to senior management across the Financials, REITs, and Specialty Finance sectors, with a client base that includes Donnelley Financial Solutions, Elevate Credit, LendingClub, ADT Security Systems, and CAI International. Kyle also has experience working on IR Infrastructure build-outs for pre IPO companies across real estate, specialty finance and insurance.
Prior to joining the firm in April 2018, he was an Investment Advisor with PNC Wealth Management, delivering comprehensive investment advice and portfolio management expertise to high net worth individuals in the northern New Jersey/New York market. Prior to PNC, he held a financial analyst position at Cavalry Portfolio Services, located in Valhalla, NY.
Kyle graduated from Lehigh University with a B.S. in Finance. While on campus, he was an active member of the community, tutoring local students as part of the Bethlehem Homework Club and participating in various charity events including projects at the historic Sun Inn Hotel. Kyle is a CFA charterholder.
Julia Deutsch supports the life sciences corporate communications team. She conducts competitive research, drafts press releases and develops social media, website and presentation content.
Julia graduated from Cornell University in 2018 with a B.S. in Nutritional Sciences and a minor in Business. Previously, Julia held an internship position at Pfizer and has worked in numerous scientific labs as an undergraduate.
In her spare time, Julia enjoys traveling, exploring New York City and cooking.
Rebecca supports the investor relations team, working with life science clients on corporate strategy, messaging, and IR planning. She currently works with companies across a broad range of development stages in disease spaces including immuno-oncology, gene therapy, and GI. She joined the firm in 2017.
Prior to Solebury Trout, Rebecca interned with the healthcare team at Finn Partners, a New York based communications firm. Additional work experience includes an internship in the Consumer Marketing group at Hearst Magazines, where she worked on digital marketing campaigns across Hearst publications.
Rebecca graduated from Cornell University with a B.A. in Biology and Society. She also holds a Series 7 securities license.
In her free time, Rebecca enjoys running, traveling, and playing violin.
Zara is on the life sciences corporate communications team. She specializes in strategy, messaging and media relations.
Before joining Solebury Trout, Zara worked as a journalist and television producer in New York covering science, health and human interest.
Zara earned an M.S. in journalism from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism in 2016. She also holds a B.A. in Philosophy from The Ohio State University and a J.D. from Harvard Law School.
Zara is passionate about social media, multimedia storytelling and public health.
Meggie supports the life sciences investor relations team assisting senior management teams with corporate strategy and IR planning. She currently works with both public and private biotechnology companies throughout all stages of development. Meggie’s experience involves companies across a broad range of disease category, including oncology, CNS, anti-infectives, rare diseases and more. She joined the firm in 2017.
Previously, Meggie held positions performing research at the Hospital for Special Surgery and the Weill-Cornell Medical College, and as a healthcare consultant.
Meggie graduated from Duke University, with a B.S.E. in biomedical engineering, with a concentration in molecular and cellular engineering. She also holds a Series 7 securities license. In her spare time, Meggie enjoys exploring NYC and watching documentaries.
Stephen is a key member of the Solebury Trout team, supporting the senior investor relations team as well as delivering comprehensive investor relations services and support to senior management across the Life Science sector.
Prior to joining Solebury Trout in September 2018, Stephen worked in a senior capacity for Riverhill Ventures, where he helped construct a portfolio of venture start-ups for a family office. Stephen also owned and operated two health food oriented quick service restaurants. Prior to his restaurants, Stephen was Associate Head Coach of Men’s and Women’s Tennis at Delaware Valley University. Stephen was a widely recruited four year varsity letter winner/MVP high school tennis player.
Stephen graduated from Delaware Valley University with a B.A. in Psychology. Stephen was the only student representative on the Cultural Diversity Committee, and was a member of the Presidential Fellows, a select group of students focusing on campus affairs.
In his free time, Stephen enjoys spending time with his two dogs, playing tennis and basketball, and exploring great restaurants.
Benny provides support for events such as the Solebury Trout Management Access Event in San Francisco and the Hamptons CEO Roundtable. He is one of the product developers behind Solebury Trout’s proprietary event management software system and is responsible for data quality and maintenance. He joined the firm in 2014, when he relocated to the US from Germany.
Prior to his transatlantic move, Benny worked for a German national authorized Apple retailer and as a tennis coach for almost ten years. He studied International Business at Aachen University, the largest technology university in Germany and one of the most renowned in Europe, where he focused on marketing and human resources. In addition to English, Benny is fluent in German and French. In his free time, he enjoys playing soccer, tennis and golf.
Nick supports the life sciences investor relations team. He works with both public and private biotechnology companies on corporate strategy and investor relations throughout all stages of development.
Previously, Nick held internship positions with the firm, as well as a summer analyst position for a Healthcare-focused investment banking team at Ladenburg Thalmann.
Nick graduated from the College of the Holy Cross in 2018 with a B.A. in Economics. In his spare time, Nick enjoys playing golf, exploring New York City, and traveling.
Hannah is an Analyst on the life sciences corporate communications team. She works with both public and private biotechnology companies throughout all stages of development. She contributes to corporate presentation content, website development projects, scenario planning for clinical data announcements and assists with social media strategy for a range of clients.
Hannah graduated from Cornell University in 2019 with a B.A. in Psychology and minors in Business and French.
In her free time, Hannah enjoys running, visiting museums, and spending time with family and friends.
Tom supports the Financial Services investor relations team. He works with both public and private companies throughout all stages of development on corporate strategy and investor relations.
Previously, Tom completed a 12-month Co-Op in Financial Planning & Analysis at Pratt & Whitney, a United Technologies Company. In this role, Tom supported the Facilities and Services department with business case development and all phases of the budgetary process.
Tom graduated from the University of Connecticut in 2019 with a B.S. in Finance and a minor in Real Estate. While at UCONN, he was a member of the Men’s Lacrosse Team. An active member of the UCONN community, Tom also helped contribute to several philanthropic initiatives including HuskyTHON and Carving for Camp. In his spare time, Tom enjoys playing Hockey, Lacrosse and Skiing.
William supports the life sciences investor relations team. He works on corporate strategy and investor relations for both public and private biotechnology companies throughout all stages of development.
Before joining Solebury Trout, William co-founded a medical device start-up in the GI space and served as their VP of Legal & Regulatory Affairs. He also worked on cortical plasticity and brain-machine interface at the Nicolelis Lab at Duke University.
William graduated from Duke University in 2017 with a B.S. in Neuroscience and a Chemistry minor. He also obtained a Master of Science in Law degree from Northwestern Pritzker School of Law in 2019. In his free time, William enjoys hiking, soccer, and playing guitar.
Joy supports the life sciences investor relations team. She works with both public and private biotechnology companies on corporate strategy and investor relations throughout all stages of development.
Joy graduated from Florida State University, studying Environmental Science & Policy with a minor in Biology. Before joining Solebury Trout, she worked as the Environmental Outreach Coordinator at Hester Group, a Federal contracting firm. Previously, she interned internationally at Salzburg Global Seminar, and at the Mayo Clinic of Jacksonville.
In her time off, Joy enjoys soccer, hiking, traveling.
Senior Director of Operations
Geoff is the firm’s Senior Director of Operations, overseeing all day-to-day enterprise functions of the company, including comprehensive information technology, facilities, and management of the event marketing team. He joined the firm in 2000, as IT Director.
Prior to joining the firm, Geoff was the Vice President of U.S. Systems for DBRS, Inc., a NRSRO-accredited bond rating agency located in New York City. He was responsible for the New York, Chicago, Virginia, and Texas offices, which had nearly 90 employees. He has also worked externally for many smaller New York businesses on networking, desktop, and helpdesk projects.
Geoff holds a B.A. in American Studies from Tufts University and is a Microsoft Certified Professional and Partner and a Citrix Certified Expert in Virtualization.
Chief Compliance Officer and AML Officer
Matthew joined Solebury in 2018 to oversee the Compliance and AML functions of the organization. In this role, Matthew is responsible for the execution and adherence to the firm’s written supervisory procedures, achieved through the ongoing maintenance of a robust set of policies and procedures designed to achieve compliance with company policies, applicable FINRA rules and federal securities laws and regulations.
Prior to joining Solebury, Matthew worked for JPMorgan Chase as a Vice President in their New York Control Room where he helped monitor and maintain the firm’s information barriers. In that role he focused his time supporting the business activities of the C&IB, Sales and Trading, and Research departments. Matthew also assisted in the management and oversight of the Global Control Room’s Compliance Risks and Legal Obligations.
Matthew is a graduate of Kent State University where he earned his B.A. in Finance. He also holds his Series 7, 79, 24, 14, and 63 securities licenses.
Marketing & Events Lead
Casey is instrumental in the logistical planning and execution of all life science events for Solebury Trout. She has led the organization of over 20 KOL events, 15 investor & analyst days and five conferences in both the US and abroad. She also heads the logistics of the firm’s largest self-run conference, the annual Solebury Trout Management Access event, which runs in parallel with the JPMorgan Healthcare Conference in San Francisco. Casey manages the meeting rooms and accommodation for 100+ attending clients and projects as well as co-manages the support team during the four-day conference. She joined the firm in 2015.
Prior to joining Solebury Trout, Casey was the Assistant Global Buyer for Nikki Beach Worldwide in Miami and began her career as a sales assistant for an internationally renowned, upscale swimwear brand. Casey graduated from the University of Florida with a B.S. in Advertising and a concentration in Business Administration. In her free time, she loves to travel, read and explore new restaurants in NYC.
Creative Services Manager
Brittany is the Creative Services Manager for Solebury Trout, providing graphic design, developing event materials, and other creative needs for the entirety of the firm. With deep experience and education in graphic design, branding and marketing, Brittany is also the user interface designer behind Solebury Trout’s proprietary Event Management System. She joined the firm in 2016.
Brittany graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B.S. in merchandising from Marist College, where she also studied Global Studies and Business Administration. Previously, Brittany worked as a Human Resources Associate for Dunkin Donuts corporate office and interned in Sales and Visual Merchandising at both Global Brands Group and Haskell Jewels, respectively.
In her free time, Brittany enjoys hiking, traveling and runs a fashion and lifestyle blog.
Courtney is the Office Coordinator at Solebury Trout and manages the day-to-day organization of the New York office.
Courtney graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B.S in Early Childhood Education from Bloomsburg University. Previously, Courtney worked as a Preschool teacher in Pennsylvania.
